Turn your web novel into a webtoon with AI — episode by episode
owntent adapts a novel you own or have permission to adapt into a vertical-scroll webtoon. It decides which span of the novel each episode covers, writes a 12–16 panel script with staging and speech bubbles, renders the panels with character reference sheets as consistency anchors, and publishes the episode to a reader where bubbles are composited per language instead of baked into the art.
From novel to published episode
- 1
Bring the novel
Import the manuscript (or generate a full novel from an outline). owntent shows episode count, word count, and reading time.
- 2
Segment it into episodes
Pick how much of the novel each episode covers. If earlier episodes are already published, owntent continues from where they stopped.
- 3
Write each episode script
Each span becomes a 12–16 panel script with staging and bubbles, checked automatically before rendering.
- 4
Render with locked characters
Panels render in parallel with each character's reference sheet attached. New characters get a sheet you pick before they appear.
- 5
Publish and read it for real
The episode goes to the watch reader, where you check it in the actual viewer and manage Korean and English bubbles side by side.

Novel to webtoon — FAQ
Can I adapt any novel?
Only writing you own or have permission to adapt. owntent is built for your own stories and licensed IP, including continuing a series whose original run stopped.
How long is one episode?
The script step targets 12–16 panels per episode. You choose how much of the novel each episode covers.
Do the characters stay the same across episodes?
Each character has a locked reference sheet that is attached to every panel render. Generated faces and hands can still vary, so review each episode before you publish.
Can I turn the webtoon into video later?
Yes. The same project can go on to keyframes and clips in the webtoon-to-film workflow.
