Quick summary
- Drafts you edit in the studio live in your browser first; published content and account data sync to our servers.

1. What we collect
Account: email address and sign-in identifiers (via our auth provider). Wallet & purchases: credit balance, top-up history (pack, amount, order reference from the payment partner), and spend history (unlocks, tips, memberships, generation usage). Creator data: public profile (handle, bio, images), published works, earnings, and — before payouts — identity (KYC) and tax details. Content you sync or publish: project documents and published media stored on our servers to work across devices. Analytics: usage events (page views, feature usage) via PostHog and similar tools; error logs; approximate device/browser info.
When you sign in or use managed remote access, we may record device type, operating system and browser, logical CPU count, approximate memory, GPU and screen information reported by the browser, and last-seen time to improve compatibility and prioritize hardware support. The device registry does not store IP addresses, raw installation identifiers, full user-agent strings, or hardware serial numbers. A random installation identifier is hashed on the server before storage.
Studio drafts are local-first: editing state lives in your browser (IndexedDB) and syncs to our servers when you are signed in, so your work follows you across devices.
2. Payments
Credit top-ups and Creator Cloud subscriptions are processed by our merchant-of-record partner (currently Polar). Your card details go directly to the payment partner and never touch our servers; we receive only order and subscription outcomes needed to provide access and keep an audit trail. The payment partner's own privacy policy governs its processing.
3. AI generation
When you use AI features, your prompts and reference materials are sent to the AI providers that power the feature (or to our own hosted models) to produce the output. Content you publish to the viewing platform is automatically screened by a content-moderation service before distribution. We do not sell your prompts or use your private drafts to train models.
4. Sharing & processors
We share data only with the processors needed to run the service: hosting and storage, our auth/database provider, the payment partner (merchant of record), AI model providers for generation requests, and analytics. We do not sell personal data. We disclose data if required by law.
5. Retention & your rights
We keep account and wallet records while your account exists, and purchase records as long as commercial and tax law requires (typically 5 years in Korea). Inactive device records may be pruned after 180 days from their last-seen time. You may request access, export, or deletion of your personal data at support@owntent.com; deletion removes personal data except records we must retain by law. Analytics can be limited by your browser's tracking protections.
6. Children, changes & contact
The service is not directed at children under 14. We announce material changes to this policy on the site or by email. Data controller: the operating company of owntent (Republic of Korea). Contact: support@owntent.com
