What it takes to finish

Only what it takes to reach the end

Every feature converges on one thing: the episode you start actually ships.

01

The model changes; the project doesn't

Swap models without touching your pipeline or episodes.

02

Retry without bleeding money

Identical inputs re-bill nothing. Costs show before you run.

03

Still the same face in episode 27

Lock it in a sheet once — every shot references the same face.

04

Fix one thing without redoing everything

Edit any stage — only the affected outputs regenerate.

05

So it doesn't go flat and get abandoned

Score on four emotion axes and revise toward a target.

06

What only finished work earns

Finished work publishes to readers, fanbase and memberships.

FAQ

Check before you decide

Can I get a refund?

Unused credits are refundable within 14 days of purchase — email support@owntent.com. Credits you have already spent (episode unlocks, tips sent, completed generations) are not refundable, but if a paid feature failed to deliver we re-credit your balance.

Are generation costs separate?

Connect your own API keys (BYOK) and image, video, and voice generation bills at provider cost directly to you — owntent adds no markup on top. If you would rather not manage keys, you can generate on owntent's side and pay with credits instead.

Is this a subscription? Will I be billed monthly?

It is not a subscription. You buy a credit pack when you need one, so your card is never auto-charged and there is nothing to cancel. Credits never expire, so it is fine to start with a small pack.

Where are my projects and media stored?

Local-first. Your media and projects live on your disk; the account is used only to sync payments and your credit balance.

What happens when a new AI model ships?

Thanks to the adapter design, you can wire in a new model's API the day it ships and mix per shot. Your pipeline, assets, and in-flight episodes stay the same.

Can I generate adult content? What is not allowed?

owntent ships no models and no adult content; adult features are off by default and only you can connect your own models. Whatever you generate, illegal content is always banned — no CSAM, no non-consensual imagery, and no deceptive deepfakes of real people. See the Acceptable Use Policy.

Can I publish an adaptation of someone else's work?

Only if you hold the rights or have a valid basis to use it. Publishing asks you to declare whether the work is an adaptation and on what basis, and a new series stays unpublished until a human reviews it. Confirmed infringement is taken down and earnings on that work are held back from payout. Report infringement on the copyright report page.

Can I really make it for free?

Yes, if you have the hardware. Connect your PC's GPU and your codex account and image, video, and voice generation all run on your machine and your existing subscription — you can finish an episode without spending a single credit. Credits are only for when you have no GPU or want it faster.

Finish your first episode today

From brief to publish — owntent holds the consistency, the retries, and the model swaps. Start free and top up credits only when you need them.
